Advanced airliner lands at AMRC
27 November 2014One of the most advanced airliners in the world has 'landed' at the University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre (AMRC) with Boeing.
The President of Boeing UK and Ireland, Sir Michael Arthur, took the opportunity of his first visit to the AMRC's Advanced Manufacturing Centre to present a model of the Boeing 777X twin-aisle aeroplane.
The presentation was in recognition of the research partnership between Boeing and the AMRC, now extending to technologies applied to this new aircraft, which will be the largest, most advanced and efficient twin-engine jet in the world.
