Wedding bells heard for AMRC research associate

Warmest congratulations are extended from everyone at the University of Sheffield Advanced Manufacturing Centre (AMRC) with Boeing to Sabino Ayvar-Soberanis and his new wife Grazina Pavtel, who were married on Saturday 2 July 2016 at St Joseph's Catholic Church in Handsworth, Sheffield.

Sabino moved from Acapulco, Mexico to the UK in 2004 to pursue a PhD in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Sheffield.

He has been working at the AMRC since 2009. He is a research associate and technical lead for the AMRC Machining Group, leading world class research within the fields of process modelling and residual stress measurement.
