The Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT) and the UK Telecoms Innovation Network (UKTIN) will be hosting the Connected Reflections Live Event— an exclusive showcase celebrating groundbreaking innovations, ecosystems, and the market-shaping insights from the Future Network Programmes.

A key highlight of the event, between 2.00pm and 2.30pm, will be a discussion titled 'Benefits of Shared Infrastructure for Enterprises & Verticals vs. Consumers,' led by Aparajithan Sivanathan, AMRC North West's Head of Digital Technology. Sivanathan will provide valuable insights into the Factory of the Future Open RAN (FoFORAN) project, which investigates the potential of Open RAN for manufacturing.

Open RAN, by enabling the use of non-proprietary components from diverse vendors, fosters interoperability and innovation. This discussion will broaden to encompass the wider advantages of shared infrastructure, drawing on Sivanathan's expertise, including his knowledge of YoRAN.
